FIBS emphasizes individual attention in its admissions process and its programs. After reviewing applicants' Resumes, FIBS invites strong candidates to first have a preliminary interview with an admissions officer and a member of the faculty, where their profile is assessed and they learn about the school programs. Candidates who meet the initial admissions requirements are asked to fill out a full application and return for a one-on-one meeting or a video conferencing with one of FIBS's Admissions Director. Following that second interview, the Admissions Committee makes its final decision. The Committee gives equal weight to academic performance, professional experience and personal strengths, including each candidate's philosophy of business as well as his or her goals and motivation.
FIBS's highly selective admissions process allows for a typical enrolment of some 15-20 students per course. Maintaining a small, close-knit student body makes for dynamic classroom discussions and interactive seminars. In contrast to larger programs, FIBS ensures that students can always meet individually with their instructors, and encourages mutually enriching student-faculty interactions.
FIBS encourages students to focus on the research that will best hone their expertise while contributing to the knowledge in their field.
